Be you. Dream big.

As I think of the path I've traveled, and where I have come, I wonder where else I will go. What does the future hold? What dreams are yet to be dreamed, what dreams will be fulfilled?

Are the dreams from my childhood still valid? 

Some are, some are engrained in the fabric that is what makes us who we are.
Sometimes those things we dream of are the things we are supposed be embrace. The thing we were given as our gift, our passion.
When did it become ok to suppress your passion and dream to go to a job you hate. I think you were given passions and gifts because those are the areas you are supposed to nourish, cherish and develop. The areas where you will be the most effective and have the most influence.
How quickly sometime we forget who we are.
 We get busy doing stuff that isn't filling our life full of anything but movement. Where is the joy? Where are the memories? Where are the days spent laughing with friends and family?
Am I living to my fullest. Am I living an abundant life? Am I making a difference? Am I leaving a legacy? Will I change history?

I was born to make a difference, to be a history maker, to change lives. To live a life full of love, and joy.

How can I live that life?
Live intention. Intentional on what is important.
What's important?
Only one thing has made a difference in my life, God. 

Not religion, not rules, not living my life to please myself, just God's love and provisions. His love is so amazing, if you let it, it will saturate every cell of your being. Transform you from the inside out. Make you into a better you, a whole you.
The more you learn of the Father's love, the more you learn of the Father. The more you learn of the Father, the more you learn about yourself. You are made in His image and likeness.
I mean the real you that's under all the stuff that you think is you. The stuff you put on cause you think its what your supposed to do, who you are supposed to be.
Did you know that you are awesome? God thinks your awesome, and He should know, He made you. He chose you to be His child. Before the foundation of time, He saw you and chose you to be His heir, to be His beloved.
So yeah, it is ok to be you. It's ok to chase the thing God put in you that excites you. Is it art, writing, skateboarding, making tasty veggie burgers? Whatever it is, is uniquely awesome and your the best choice for the job. 

You can never be somebody else, and nobody can ever be you.
Be you and be awesome.
It's not only ok to dream, it's ok to dream big!!! Don't be ashamed of what you were made for!
If your dream doesn't scare you a little bit, it's probably not big enough. When you dream with God, anything is possible.
Think about it, really think, what impact do you want to have? Now think bigger, BIGGER, does it scare you yet?
God can do it.

What's the key to success?
1. Walking with the Spirit
John 14:26-27 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. 
2. Knowing it is possible
Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. 
3. Have faith
Matthew 9:27-29 After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?”“Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” 
4. Be willing
Colossians 3:23-24 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. 
5. Do NOT fear
Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you.I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. 

365 times the bible says not to fear. 365 days in a year. 1 reminder for each day. Hmm... Coincidence?

You have to follow the plan. The problem is, it's Gods plan and you may not always see a clear path. That where walking in the Spirit comes in. God reveals His secrets through His Holy Spirit to His kids. Not only does God have the answer, He wants to give it to you. Are you listening, or just talking.

Jeremiah 33:2-3 “This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. 

Isaiah 45:3 And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—secret riches.I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord,the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name. 

Sound pretty cool, right? I want some of that! 

Here is another good one, don't get discouraged when it isn't going "your way"! 

Philippians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Yes, I tried it on my own. I was "happy enough" for a while. Then rarely, and well, if I'm being honest, I wasn't happy at all. Except in those fleeting moments of temporary happiness while at the height of my choice exhilaration. Then in 10 minutes it's gone again and you feel just as lost and lonely as ever. 

Yeah, I was there. Over and over...

Philippians 3:8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. 

So what's next? 

Dream, live, and love. 

Doesn't sound so hard. 

Contend for your dreams. There is an enemy out there who wants to squash you. Too bad for him, he lost the battle already. Feel free to remind him when he tries to lie to you. 

Remind yourself who you are! 

John 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 

Galatians 4:6-7 And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir. 

Abba means daddy. 

A God that's my daddy? 

Romans 8:16-17 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.  

So how do I get the awesomeness of which you speak? 

John 1:12-13 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. 

Try it, I dare you! Dream big with God. 

Be like a kid again. Big dreams, endless possibilities, always hopeful & full of joy!
